Semi-Quantitative COVID-19 IgG Antibody Rapid Test (25 tests)
AbC-19™ Semi-Q Rapid Test is a COVID-19 rapid antibody test that detects IgG neutralising antibodies to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein*.
- Identify and monitor a immune response to COVID-19 infection or vaccination
- Help determine who and when someone is potentially at risk
- Point of care: Results available in 20 minutes from a small sample of capillary blood
- Sensitivity: 98.03%, Specificity: 99.56%
People respond differently to the SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination and antibodies wane over time. Therefore, it is important to reduce the guesswork in determining who needs to be cautious or seek medical advice.
*The SARS-CoV-2 spike protein is integral in initiating infection. Neutralising IgG antibodies target the SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein and therefore interfere with the virus’ ability to enter human cells.
AbC-19™ Semi-Q is UKCA and CE marked for use by professionals or trained lay users. Not available in the USA.

AbC-19™ Semi-Q Rapid Test is a lateral flow antibody test. From a finger-prick sample of blood, the test detects the SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies to the full trimeric spike protein produced in response to the virus or following vaccination.
By comparing test line intensity with a scorecard, semi-quantitative results are obtained . The intensity of the line, which can be seen visually, is proportional to the amount of IgG antibodies present in the finger-prick blood sample with higher levels of antibodies producing a stronger test line.
AbC-19™ Semi-Q Rapid Test can determine the levels IgG antibodies produced following infection with COVID-19 virus or vaccination. It will not confirm if you are currently infected by the virus.
- Healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists and healthcare workers.
- Laboratory professionals
- Trained lay providers in workplaces, schools or universities for example. (Training packages available. Contact Abingdon Health’s team)
Not available for sale in the USA.
When comparing the test line intensity against the scorecard, the line intensity correlates with the data table in the ‘How have the scorecard values been generated?‘ section below. A positive result showing a line intensity between 1 and 10 on the scorecard will provide and indicative level of IgG antibodies to the full trimeric spike protein of SARS-CoV-2.
Regularly monitoring antibody levels will indicate when antibody levels drop and therefore allow people to interpret their level of risk. With this information people can make informed decisions about modifying behaviour. Determining who and when people are at risk allows governments to guide on vaccine deployment to the most vulnerable. For workplaces, understanding who is most at risk helps to shape return-to-work and/or health and safety policies.
The scorecard provided within the AbC-19TM Semi-Q Rapid Test kit enables the signal intensity observed on the test line to be interpreted as an antibody concentration in units/ml, with a measuring range of between 0-16000 units/ml. Line intensity values were assigned in accordance with the WHO Reference panel.
