Pocket Diagnostic is pleased to announce Sorbus International Limited as our exclusive UK distributor for our range of plant disease rapid tests.

Sorbus International Limited is a leading supplier of specialist and hi-tech products to the arboriculture, forestry, and horticulture sectors as well as the utility sector. Their customers include local authorities, public and private parks/landowners, consultants, contractors, and utilities involved in the telecoms and power networks.

The Pocket Diagnostic range is already available to buy directly from Sorbus International. However, shortly customers and businesses who normally order online will no longer be able to buy tests from the Pocket Diagnostic website and will be redirected to Sorbus’ website. Pocket Diagnostic customers will get the same great tests and receive the same great customer service as they have always been used to. Customers from Ireland, Europe and the rest of the world will still be able buy online from the Pocket Diagnostic as normal.

Liam Currivan, Abingdon Health’s Distribution Channel Sales Manager, commented:

“We are excited to have Sorbus on board. They have extensive experience in the world of land-based industries including arboriculture and forestry, and they will offer our customers added value, alongside our tests, with their wide range of products and expertise. I’m really looking forward to our future relationship and them being able to offer their clients an easy tool that can help accelerate plant disease management decision making.”

Phil Wade, Director at Sorbus International commented:

“We are delighted and excited about our appointment as Pocket Diagnostic’s exclusive UK distributor. We’ve known of the Pocket Diagnostic brand for years and see these plant health lateral flow tests (LFTs) being an integral part of our innovative tree/plant care range in combating the ever-increasing effect of pathogens on native trees and plants. Due to Covid, everyone now knows what an LFT is and indeed have used one themselves. Our customers are intrigued to use the technology for plant disease detection. We have already started to show Pocket Diagnostic at several trade shows where the response has been very positive. It’s also great to see that many people already know about the tests.”
