Pythium multi-test kit, containing 50 x Pythium test devices, 50 x sample extraction bottles, 50 x pipettes, 1 x instructions and 1 x key card.

The test is broad spectrum and will detect many species of Pythium.

Pythium is a fungus-like organism affecting almost all plants. It causes root rot giving plants a stunted appearance. Root tips become brown and necrotic and plants yellow and die. The most commonly encountered species are found in field soil, sand, pond and stream water and their sediments, and dead roots of previous crop. Pythium can be present in commercially available growing materials.
